Central Bedfordshire Council is seeking experienced Educational Psychologists to join our Educational Psychology Service to support statutory assessment and tribunal work.
These roles are ideally suited to professionals looking to focus on high-quality statutory advice writing and assessment work within a supportive and collaborative EPS.
About the Role
The postholder will undertake statutory assessments for children and young people across Central Bedfordshire, including occasional out-of-authority assessments where required.
The role requires:
In-person observational and direct assessment work
Completion of high-quality EP advice for statutory assessments
Contribution to tribunal work where required
Collaborative working with schools, families, and multi-agency professionals
While meetings may be offered online by negotiation, all assessment and observational work is expected to be completed in person.
We are looking for colleagues who can commit to delivering a minimum of 4 Educational Psychology advices per month.
About You
Qualified Educational Psychologist registered with the HCPC
Experience completing statutory assessments and producing high-quality psychological advice
Knowledge of SEND legislation and statutory processes
Ability to undertake in-person assessment and observation work across Central Bedfordshire
Strong communication, analytical, and report-writing skills
Experience of tribunal work is desirable
