Mechanical Maintenance Engineer
NHS Estate – North London - NW3
Up to £43,000 + Overtime + On-Call + Full Benefits Package
We are recruiting for a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join a brand-new engineering team on a major NHS healthcare contract in North London, mobilising in June.
This is an excellent opportunity to join from day one, helping build a new team on a secure long-term contract within a live healthcare environment.
This is a Monday to Friday role, 8am–5pm (40-hour week) with participation in a shared 1 in 3 on-call rota across the engineering team.
The Role
• Mechanical PPM and reactive maintenance across the estate
• Fault finding on pumps, valves, pipework, AHUs, FCUs and HVAC systems
• Plant room maintenance and water systems checks
• Supporting compliance and safe systems of work
• Working alongside subcontractors and specialist engineers
• Completing job sheets, permits and compliance records
Requirements
• Mechanical qualifications (City & Guilds / NVQ or equivalent)
• Experience within commercial maintenance, FM or healthcare environments
• Strong knowledge of plant rooms and mechanical building services
• Understanding of compliance within live environments
• Full UK driving licence preferred
