Mechanical Maintenance Engineer
Location: Stratford, East London
Salary: Up to £40,000 per annum + Overtime Available
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm

We are currently recruiting for a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join a well-established and growing organisation based in Stratford, East London. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced engineer seeking a secure position with excellent benefits, ongoing training, career progression opportunities, and the ability to significantly increase earnings through overtime.
Working as part of a dedicated maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and reliability of mechanical plant and equipment across a commercial environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on mechanical systems and equipment.
* Diagnose and repair mechanical faults efficiently to minimise downtime.
* Perform reactive maintenance and breakdown repairs.
* Maintain pumps, motors, valves, pipework, HVAC equipment, and associated plant.
* Conduct routine inspections and ensure equipment operates safely and efficiently.
* Complete maintenance reports and documentation accurately.
* Support continuous improvement initiatives and site maintenance projects.
* Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times.
Candidate Requirements:
* NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering or Maintenance.
* Previous experience in a maintenance engineering role within commercial, industrial, or facilities management environments.
* Strong mechanical fault-finding and repair skills.
* Experience working on pumps, motors, bearings, gearboxes, and HVAC systems is advantageous.
* Good communication and organisational skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
