£26,000 – £34,000 Depending on Experience + Benefits
We are currently recruiting for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join a growing commercial team based in Swansea.
This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual looking to further develop their career within the construction industry while working alongside experienced commercial professionals on a range of projects.
The successful candidate will join the business following a successful interview.
The Role
The Assistant Quantity Surveyor will support the commercial team with the financial and contractual management of construction projects.
Key duties will include:
* Assisting with cost planning and budgeting
* Preparing valuations and final accounts
* Supporting subcontractor procurement and payments
* Monitoring project costs and variations
* Assisting with contract administration
* Producing commercial reports and documentation
* Attending site meetings and liaising with clients and subcontractors
* Supporting Senior Quantity Surveyors on live projects
Requirements
* Degree, HNC, HND, or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management
* Minimum 2 years’ experience within a Quantity Surveying or construction environment
* Good understanding of commercial processes within construction
* Strong communication and organisational skills
* Good IT skills including Microsoft Office
* Full UK driving licence
Desirable
* Knowledge of JCT or NEC contracts
* Experience within construction, housing, or civil engineering sectors
* Interest in working towards RICS or CIOB accreditation
