Skilled Butcher

A well-established, premium independent butcher with multiple locations across North London are seeking a Skilled Butcher to join their team. The business is known for high-quality products, strong customer service, and a loyal customer base.

The company has recently transitioned to an employee-owned structure, giving staff the opportunity to share in the long-term success of the business.

This is a customer-facing butcher position within a premium retail environment. The role is heavily weighted towards retail work, with additional responsibilities in production and preparation. As Skilled Butcher you will:

Preparing and cutting meat and poultry to a high standard
Serving customers and providing product advice
Maintaining well-presented and fully stocked counters
Producing value-added products such as sausages and burgers
Supporting daily shop operations and order fulfilment
Ensuring compliance with food safety and hygiene standards

We are looking for a Skilled Butcher with:

Previous experience as a butcher
Strong customer-facing skills
Knowledge of meat and poultry preparation
Reliable and team-oriented

Experience in a retail or premium butchery environment is desirable

You will be working 45 hours per week, flexible shift patterns including:

Early prep shifts (from 7:00am)
Mid shifts (around 9:00am start)
Late shifts (10:00–11:00am start, finishing around 7:15–7:30pm)

Weekend work required (including Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays)
Rotating schedules (not fixed)

You will be joining a premium retail butcher in a strong, stable team with long staff tenure.
