Civil Engineer - Wastewater Infrastructure

A rapidly growing engineering consultancy is looking to appoint multiple Civil Engineers to join its expanding wastewater infrastructure team in Slough.
This is a strong opportunity for engineers with UK wastewater infrastructure experience to work on a varied portfolio of detailed design projects including sewerage rising mains, trunk sewers, pumping stations, gravity sewer systems and pipeline rehabilitation schemes.
Following an initial onboarding period in the office, the role will move to a hybrid working arrangement.

The Role

You'll support the design and delivery of wastewater infrastructure schemes, contributing to feasibility studies, optioneering, detailed design and technical delivery across a range of projects.
The role will involve developing designs for wastewater networks and associated infrastructure, supporting rehabilitation and renewal schemes, coordinating technical drawings, attending site visits and liaising with clients, contractors and wider project teams.
You'll work in accordance with Sewerage Sector Guidance, Water Industry standards and relevant UK regulations, while supporting practical and cost-effective engineering solutions.

What We're Looking For

Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline
Minimum 2 years' UK experience within wastewater infrastructure or pipeline design
Good understanding of sewerage systems, rising mains and drainage hydraulics
Experience with AutoCAD, Civil 3D and hydraulic modelling software such as InfoWorks ICM, MicroDrainage or EPANET
Familiarity with Water UK standards and Sewerage Sector Guidance
Full UK driving licence
Experience with hydraulic modelling, surge analysis, transient flow or pressure management would be beneficial but is not essential.

Why Apply?

Join a rapidly growing consultancy with a strong project pipeline
Work on technically varied wastewater infrastructure schemes
Hybrid working and supportive team environment
Clear progression opportunities within an expanding design team
Exposure to both technical delivery and wider project coordination responsibilities
If you are seeking a civil engineering role within wastewater infrastructure and want a strong option at a consultancy that can support your growth, apply directly or contact Michael from Aldwych Consulting on (phone number removed).
