Responsibilities:

SUMMARY

This position is perfect for someone experienced in the commercial truck and/or automotive industry, with extensive knowledge in diagnosing and troubleshooting complex diesel engines.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

Create and maintain fleet database

Ensure vehicle cost is collected and accurate for all company vehicles

Reviews and establishes fleet maintenance practices and procedures and ensures quality controls using Fleetio

Ensures that each vehicle is equipped with telematic device to monitor GPS

Develops plans to ensure fleet compliance with federal, state, and local government laws and regulations

Work with external vendors for maintenance, upfitting, and procurement of company vehicles

Inspects and evaluates fleet equipment, recommends repair and/or replacement of existing equipment, and maintains records of fleet inventories, assignments, and usage

Develops policy on acquiring, maintaining, using, and selling of all company vehicles.

OTHER DUTIES

Analyzes, makes recommendations, and prepares reports for the solution of budgetary, procurement, procedural, and other fleet issues.

Develops training program for current employees on utilization of fleet maintenance program and GPS devices.

Other duties may be assigned.

COMPENSATION

$20 - $30 per hour based on experience

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

One year of related experience and/or training preferred

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. 

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide into all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. 

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions in written or oral form. 

Ability to interpret instructions in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

Manufacturer Training
