The HR Generalist will play a crucial role in supporting various human resources functions within our organization. Providing “front line” HR support in implementation of Human Resources policies and programs at a local level while working in conjunction with Regional and Corporate HR Human Resources.

The HR Generalist is a true HR Business Partner in the aspects of guiding leadership and employees in engagement management, compliance, and training initiatives. Serving as a key point of contact for employees, fostering a positive work environment and ensuring alignment with company policies and procedures, including responsibilities that will include implementing Human Resources programs and policies such as New Hire On-boarding, Employee Relations, Payroll Administration, partnership with Talent Acquisition and other Culture-Building activities both internally and externally.

Responsibilities:

You will:

- Employee Relations & Communications

Conduct new hire orientation, manage new hire paperwork, and serve as a trusted advisor for all new hires.

Work in partnership and in collaboration across the South region on HR initiatives, communications, and programs.

Partner with Regional Human Resources Leader to resolve employee relation issues; Provide coaching, counseling, and guidance to management and employees.

Drive a positive employee focused culture that supports the attainment of the company's goals and promotes employee satisfaction through both local initiatives and company-wide programs through such avenues as company meetings, suggestion programs, employee satisfaction surveys, newsletters, employee focus groups, one-on-one meetings, and Intranet use.

- Recruiting and Staffing

Identify, in coordination with the local leadership team and Corporate Human Resources, the facility’s talent strategy and needs, Partner with Corporate Talent Acquisition team for both exempt and non-exempt staffing needs.

- Compensation, Payroll and Benefits

Partner with Corporate Payroll, Benefits and Human Resources teams on related issues as needed.

Answer frequently asked questions from applicants and employees relative to standard policies, benefits, etc.

- Employment Law Compliance and Reporting

Comply with all existing federal, state, and local legal and governmental reporting requirements including any related to the EEO, ADA, FMLA, ERISA, DOL, OSHA, Worker Compensation and so forth.

Maintain the integrity and confidentiality of human resource files and records.

Qualifications:

You have:

A. / B.S. degree required.

3+ years of Human Resources experience, including employee relations.

Knowledge of employment laws including ADA, FLSA, FMLA.

Excellent verbal and written communication, organizational skills, and attention to detail.

Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

Demonstrate integrity, flexibility, sound judgment, intuitive solid skills, and results driven.

Previous experience or user knowledge of ADP a plus.

Bilingual Spanish an added plus.

SHRM certification a plus.
