Job Description
The Licensed Clinical Supervisor (LCS) provides clinical supervision and support to staff and interns providing direct services within the youth and adult outpatient and residential behavioral health programs in San Mateo County. The LCS lends support to the other programs within the organization as needed/appropriate. This position is responsible for ensuring that all appropriate professional standards, licensing/certification and clinical grant requirements are met. The LCS is also responsible for assuring San Mateo County programs and services are culturally proficient and client-centered.
This position has managerial responsibility, including the participation in agency performance appraisals, performing clinical performance reviews as indicated by the Board of Behavioral Services (BBS), and the authority to recommend action for line and supervisory employees. In addition, the Clinical Supervisor is a representative of the San Mateo County Leadership Team and assists the Program Directors and Divisional/Managing Directors in the hiring and supervising of new employees and interns.
Key Responsibilities
Facilitates both individual and group clinical supervision for direct services staff.
Ensures compliance with all appropriate professional standards, licensing/certification and clinical grant requirements.
Provides regular on-site trainings (didactic) for employees and interns.
Must be available after-hours to respond to clinical emergencies, outstanding crisis or events precipitating an incident report.
Researches and recommends EBPs and best practices.
Serves as point person for clinical audits and concerns.
