is hiring for an Electromechanical PLC Tech II to contribute to our team in La Vergne, TN. The Electromechanical PLC Tech works within the Engineering group and partners with Manufacturing, Distribution, Logistics, and Information Technology teams to deliver solutions for the enterprise. They deliver tangible results within the manufacturing and distribution centers, partner with various stakeholders to drive continuous process improvements related to safety, quality, productivity, and manufacturing costs, and support operations through the testing, evaluation, troubleshooting, and implementation of integrated systems for managing product distribution systems & print-on-demand processes.

M-F Flexible 1st Shift schedule, OT as needed and up to 25% travel
What You'll Need:
Associate’s/Technical degree
3 years of industrial maintenance experience
Preferred Skills:
Allen-Bradley experience
PLC & Electrical skills
Robotics experience
Vision Systems experience
What You'll Do:
Adheres to all safety programs and policies.
Act a resource for troubleshooting, repair & installation of basic industrial electromechanical & control systems for manufacturing, warehouse, and distribution center equipment.
Help identify & upgrade outdated electromechanical installations in the company’s facilities.
Documents all necessary information for existing & new equipment
Perform basic system start-ups and operational checkouts on systems including configuration, wiring, calibration, grounding and power testing.
Perform basic PLC programming & troubleshooting.
Assist engineering team with mechanical installations as directed.
Provide basic hardware and software application support assistance to engineers and operations.
Utilizes technical materials such as equipment manuals, MSDS, safety materials, system drawings, Process and Instrument Diagrams (P&ID's), schematics, and blueprints to troubleshoot and maintain systems.
Participate in cross functional process improvement teams.
Perform fabrication and deployment of prototype systems (including development of industrial robotics, end of arm tooling, programming routines, etc).
Utilizes and maintains prototyping shop space to develop new systems to drive improved manufacturing and distribution center performance.
Travel to various sites to lead or assist in the installation of new systems.
Travels to various vendors as needed to evaluate new technology applications.
Communicates study results and makes recommendations to management.
Leads small CAPEX projects as assigned

Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.
Ability to read, write, speak, hear, see, think, communicate, concentrate, learn, and work
Ability to sit at workstation for extended periods of time
Ability to work effectively using a personal computer for long periods of time
Ability to operate computer equipment, including keyboard and monitor, phone equipment and other necessary office equipment
Ability to work in a prototyping shop setting.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
