Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) - Operating Room
Location: Norman, Oklahoma
Shift: 10-Hour Shifts (6:30 AM - 5:00 PM)
Weekend Requirements: 1 full weekend of call per month
On Call Requirements: 5-7 days per month
Salary Range: $27.84 - $45.46/hour (based on education and experience)
Differentials: Shift and Weekend Differentials available
Job Overview:
The Registered Nurse (RN) - Operating Room Circulator plays an essential role in providing professional and individualized peri-operative care for patients across all age groups, from infants to geriatrics. Working in the HealthPlex OR, where the majority of surgeries are orthopedics and some general surgery, the RN will utilize critical thinking, autonomy, and teamwork in directing surgery department staff and caring for surgical patients.
The General Surgery Circulator nurse will go through a 16-week orientation with a dedicated preceptor, gaining experience in all surgical areas and service lines. This position is ideal for RNs who wish to further their career in surgical nursing by working in a professional and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborating with other health professionals and performing assessments
Analyzing assessment data, establishing goals, and planning care strategy
Implementing care and safely delegating tasks
Providing safe direct and indirect nursing care
Evaluating responses to interventions
Performing additional nursing functions based on knowledge and skills acquired beyond basic nursing preparation
Directing surgery department staff in the care of surgical patients
