Job Overview:

Summary

We are looking for an experienced Quality Supervisor to organize and direct quality personnel who perform product inspections at all stages of the manufacturing process to include source inspections as applicable. This candidate shall have experience in welding and pressure vessel fabrication. The Quality Supervisor acts as a liaison between Cryoquip supervision, the Authorized Inspection Agency (DOSH) and client representative(s) to ensure that quality and project requirements are satisfied. Responsible for staff development, role definition, and resource allocations planning through the recruiting, training, assigning, and mentoring of quality control employees, communicating job expectations and monitoring overhead and job hours. From time to time the Quality Supervisor will provide support to external domestic and foreign facilities.

Annual Salary

$65,096 - $89,188

Responsibilities:

Essential Functions/Responsibilities

Directs personnel engaged in receiving/shop inspection and testing activities throughout production cycles to ensure continuous control over materials, of Code and non-code products.

• Oversee and collect quality related documentation throughout the manufacturing process.

• Responsible for calibration program for inspection, measuring and test equipment.

• Ensuring finished goods and products meet and or exceed company standards as well as customer specifications.

• Reports inspection results, issues NCR’s and corrective action plans as required.

Reporting quality anomalies to the Quality Control Manager

• Participates in internal quality audits in accordance with ISO 9001 quality management system

• Plans, manages, and improves workflow through the quality control processes

• Interfaces with manufacturing to coordinate required inspection agencies on witness/hold points for quality control processes.

Supervisory Responsibility

This position requires Supervision of 6-8 Quality Control Inspectors, to include planning and monitoring workflow of team members in conjunction with Cryoquip Production Schedule.

Work Environment

This job operates in an shop office and manufacturing environment. This role routinely utilizes the operation of Microsoft software, basic office equipment, material handling equipment and various inspection tools as needed. 

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus. This would require the ability to lift to 50 pounds, and work with various materials and/or tools, as well as work and bend at different heights, in various temperatures, and be on feet for an extended period of time. 

Qualifications:

Education and Experience

High school diploma or GED and or technical college level education preferred

3 to 5 years’ experience and training related to ASME Codes for Pressure Vessels

Experience in ISO 9001 policies and procedures

Ensure a Safe Work Environment and Understanding of Pneumatic Pressure Testing

Experience in Inspection or quality technician/specialist in ASME pressure vessel and process piping.

Working knowledge of ASME BPVC Section II, V, VIII and IX preferred

Understanding of advanced technical and shop mathematical concepts.

High-level of visual awareness and attention to detail.

Advanced organizational and multitasking skills.

Experience drafting detailed reports and collating data.

Ability to communicate with other Team Members.

Ability to analyze and interpret technical drawings and weld symbols.

Ability to stand for long periods
