Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Administrative Assistant to join our senior skilled nursing facility at Fellowship Square located in Phoenix, Arizona.

The primary purpose of this job position is to perform clerical duties in an efficient manner, in accordance with established procedures. This individual must bring a special combination of energy, enthusiasm, positive motivation and self-direction to the job, and possess superior customer service orientation.

Responsibilities:

Order office supplies, receive and distribute said supplies. Prepare purchase orders.

Receive, sort and distribute resident and facility mail on a daily basis.

Receive inquiries regarding job applications and prospective residency and release information in accordance with established policies and procedures.

Assist with maintaining facility policy and procedure database review, update and organization as directed by Administrator.

Create and maintain an atmosphere of warmth, personal interest and positive emphasis, as well as a calm attitude when visiting with staff, residents and visitors.

Maintain confidentiality of all pertinent resident care and employee information to assure rights are protected.

Assist activities department as needed.

Keep calendar of Family Room Reservations and notify departments as necessary.

Qualifications:

Must possess, as a minimum, a high school diploma.

One year experience preferred as an administrative assistant.

Be a minimum of 18 years of age and of good moral character.

Must be able to read, write and speak the English language.

Must be proficient with computer applications including Microsoft Office Suite programs.

Must be able to write and edit documents such as memos, reports and other correspondence.

Create and maintain file systems both electronic and physical.

Possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, visitors and the general public.

Must be knowledgeable of administrative practices, procedures and guidelines.

Be able to type a minimum of 30 words per minute.
