Grapevine MSP Technology Services seeks a detail-oriented and reliable Accounting Clerk to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for processing various financial transactions, maintaining accurate financial records, and supporting the accounting department; this is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to grow their career in accounting in a supportive and dynamic work environment.
Process Financial Transactions:
Accurately process accounts payable and receivable transactions.
Prepare and process invoices, expense reports, and check requests.
Review and verify the accuracy of financial data and documentation.
Maintain Financial Records:
Ensure all financial records are maintained in an organized and up-to-date manner.
Assist with month-end closing activities, including reconciling accounts and preparing journal entries.
Update and maintain accounting databases and spreadsheets.
Reconciliation and Reporting:
Reconcile bank statements and other financial accounts.
Assist in preparing financial reports, including balance sheets and income statements.
Support internal audits by providing necessary documentation and information.
Assist with General Accounting Tasks:
Support managing the general ledger, including posting entries and adjusting accounts as needed.
Assist with payroll processing and related tasks.
Collaborate with the accounting team on various projects and initiatives.
Requirements
A high school diploma or equivalent and an associate’s degree in accounting or a related field are preferred.
1-2 years of experience in an accounting or bookkeeping role.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage) and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Basic understanding of accounting principles and practices.
Hands-on experience with office machines (e.g., fax machines and printers)
Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
A creative mind with the ability to suggest improvements
