The Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) plays a crucial role in supporting the Chief Clinical Officer in overseeing the clinical operations of our skilled nursing facility while ensuring high-quality care.
Key responsibilities include:
Assist in the planning, organization, and implementation of nursing services in accordance with professional standards and regulations.
Supervise nursing staff including RNs, LVNs, and CNAs, ensuring adherence to care protocols.
Coordinate resident care activities with the healthcare team, enhancing interdisciplinary communication.
Assist in ongoing assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of resident care plans.
Participate in quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives.
Contribute to staff training and development to promote effective nursing practices.
Support the Chief Clinical Officer in administrative functions and operational planning.
Support the clinical team to promote retention and job satisfaction
Provide support the clinical team afterhours and over the weekend when necessary
Responsible for hiring, progressive discipline, training, mentoring, and coaching staff
Requirements
Must have a current and active California Registered nurse license (BSN preferred)
Strong professional communication, relationship building, and organization skills
Three to five years nursing leadership experience; direct personnel management experience highly preferred
Strong communication and leadership skills
Ability to run with large conceptual ideas, operationalize projects, and direct appropriate staff
Knowledge of Point Click Care (PCC)
Must be authorized to work in the United States
