Job Description
Job Title: Manufacturing Engineering Manager

Role Summary:
To play a responsible role in planning, organizing, and overseeing the maintenance of facilities, equipment and mechanical systems to support operational effectiveness.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Address manufacturing equipment issues that are causing production bottle necks, high scrap, or reduced efficiencies.
Monitor condition of property, facilities and equipment and identify maintenance needs
Develop, implement, and monitor strategies for continuous improvement in equipment reliability and effectiveness
Develop, implement, and oversee the preventative maintenance process to ensure reliability and effectiveness
Apply knowledge of new technology and industry trends to improve manufacturing processes
Undertake corrective action resulting from manufacturing system audits
Assist in planning and monitoring of maintenance and capital improvement projects
Schedule, assign tasks and duties to Maintenance, Tooling, and ME staff
Performance management of maintenance staff including Tooling, Maintenance and Manufacturing Engineers
Ensure maintenance team's compliance with all relevant regulations, policies, and procedures
Establish and maintain safe work procedures and practices
Monitor and maintain established quality standards for all processes
Provide input into preparation of annual maintenance budget and prepare budget requests
Monitor costs and expenses to meet budget goals and ensure optimal cost effectiveness
Coordinate and administer vendor contracts and orders
Provide regular reports on status of maintenance and repairs
Be instrumental in the planning and execution of systems needed to smoothly bring new projects into production.
Be continually thinking of better ways to manufacture plastic parts and be willing to push for change.
Maintain compliance with ISO 9001, IATF 16949, ISO 14001, and OH&S standards.
Experience:
This position requires a bachelor’s degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience. This individual should be familiar with problem solving analysis processes and problem-solving teams. Leadership and interpersonal skills are required to connect effectively with your team, suppliers, and all levels of the organization. Experience within the following areas is beneficial: design, build and maintaining Mechanical, Electrical, Pneumatic and Hydraulic systems and circuits, PLC Programming experience and Robotic programming. Computer skills with Microsoft Office.
