Application Support Engineer

PITTSBURGH, Pennsylvania

JOB TITLE:Application Support Engineer

LOCATION:Pittsburgh, PA (Hybrid work model)

JOB SUMMARY:

Join our team as an Application Support Engineer, where youll be responsible for maintaining the stability and soundness of our clients critical anti-money laundering platform. Youll be part of a dynamic team, troubleshooting, monitoring infrastructure, and supporting internal critical facing applications.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Monitor ETL jobs and track user issues

* Collaborate with users to resolve software issues

* Support business continuity management and disaster recovery events

* Perform code upgrades independently

* Identify and document best practices within your areas of expertise

* Suggest continuous process improvements and maintain Standard Operating Procedures

SKILLS REQUIRED:

* ITIL ITOM/ITSM knowledge and experience

* Experience in a support team in a versatile changing environment

* Ability to analyze code written in JAVA, J2EE, SpringBoot, and Angular

* Experience with monitoring tools such as Dynatrace, Big Panda

* Proficiency in managing Operating Systems upgrades such as Linux, Windows, Oracle, SQL

* Strong background in troubleshooting and remediation techniques

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

* Bachelors Degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering, or related field

* 6-8 years of relevant experience

SOFT SKILLS:

* Self-sufficient and effective communication techniques

* Ability to work collaboratively and develop meaningful relationships across technology and business teams

* Strong sense of ownership and ability to instill that sense of ownership across the team
