Overview:
Job Summary
The Application Support Engineer I is responsible for providing technical support, product expertise and overall application management for Air Methods IT applications. Designs, develops/configures, codes (such as scripting), tests, debugs and documents applications. Strong experience with complex data models, SQL Server coding and ERP systems.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities include the following:
Maintain in-depth knowledge of Air Methods IT applications, offering guidance on existing and new features and products
Provide technical support for Air Methods IT Applications, troubleshooting and resolution of system, application and data incidents.
Monitor the performance of applications and recommend improvements or upgrades to ensure optimal functionality
Participate in hands on testing (manual and automated), bug reporting on software and integrated vendor applications
Perform application deployments, installations, releases and configuration to production environment following change management procedures and ensuring proper integration to other systems
Create reports and write queries in support of business teams.
Manage, triage, and prioritize incoming user support requests, including operational issues, technical defects, data problems and data reporting issues
Other duties as assigned

Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree (BS/BA) from four-year college or university and five (5) or more years’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
5 plus years’ experience in a technical support role
Knowledge of trends and developments in the fields of data management, workflow automation, and software data integration.
Strong understanding of software development processes and methodologies.
Experience leading projects and programs across multiple lines of business on technology, process and data
Experience with Accounting, Finance, ERP, Procure to Pay or Human Capital Management software
Experience implementing ERP software a plus
Experience with integrations with Coupa a plus
Skills
Proactive, self-starter with proven ability to quickly learn new applications, processes, and procedures
Ability to participate in and lead projects
Ability to collaborate, communicate effectively and exercise independent judgment in a team environment
Excellent verbal and written communication skills (technical writing & documentation)
Solid analytical and problem-solving skills
Experience applying Agile methodology
Knowledge of DevOps practices
Data analysis and metrics development
Excellent customer service skills (Ability to communicate with both technical and non-technical employees)
Computer Skills
Advanced with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
Basic grasp of API’s and standards (REST, SOAP, OAuth)
Strong SQL skills. Experience in other computer programming, scripting languages a plus
Experience with SSRS, SSIS
Experience with cloud application support
