Job Title: EHS Specialist

Salary: $65,000 - $75,000

Location: Manchester, Iowa

Industry: Plastics Manufacturing

Core Function:

To assist with regulatory compliance, risk assessment, EHS training, incident investigation, and site auditing across the manufacturing facility.

Responsibilities:

Lead the safety program to promote safety, health, and industrial hygiene awareness.

Conduct annual employee training on OSHA regulations and safe work behaviors.

Maintain SDS files in each department and master file.

Conduct safety training for new employees.

Maintain training records for regulatory compliance.

Develop and implement a plan for the facility's industrial hygiene program according to company guidelines.

Identify hazardous conditions/actions within the plant and recommend corrective measures.

Review, approve, and write Risk Assessments

Requirements:

4-year degree in safety, environmental health, industrial hygiene or engineering, or equivalent work experience.

2+ years of directly related experience in the EH&S field or in a related area.

Experience working in a manufacturing environment preferred.

Requires CSP (Certified Safety Professional), CIH (Certified Industrial Hygienist), or other comparable certification.
