Overview:

The Corporate Financial Analyst position is a responsible for assisting in all accounting operations of the company, including the production of periodic financial reports, maintenance of an adequate system of accounting records, and a comprehensive set of controls, budgets, and forecasting designed to mitigate risk, enhance the accuracy of the company's reported financial results, and ensure that reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles and financial reporting standards.

Responsibilities:

Assists in compiling, analyzing and reconciling financial and other information for a variety of department activities. 

Assists plan administrators by ensuring that the Employee Stock Ownership Plan and 401k Plans are run smoothly, following state and government regulations.

Provides assistance and back up to the entire Accounting Department by becoming an expert in accounts payable, financial reporting, purchasing, cash flow analyst, etc.

Researches and works with outside vendors to ensure compliance. Vendors include insurance brokers, IRS, governmental agencies, CPA firms, auditors and more.

Assists in asset management with internal and external teams.

Works with government employees and internal staff as necessary to perform standard audits for various purposes.

Develops financial strategies by estimating, forecasting, and anticipating requirements, trends, and variances, aligning monetary resources, developing action plans, measuring and analyzing results, initiating corrective actions, and minimizing the impact of variances.

Responsible for identifying, researching, and assisting with Human Resources and payroll issues; contributing information, analysis, and procedures to ensure accuracy and compliance.

Guides management and employee actions by researching; developing; writing; and updating policies, procedures, methods and guidelines while utilizing best practices and the resources available to communicate and enforce them and the organizational values.

Complies with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation and tax codes, anticipating legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements, and advising management on needed actions.

Keeps current with accounting and industry best practices by participating in conferences and educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, and participating in professional organizations.

Provides effective engagement with employees and consistent flow of information in both directions to reinforce a culture of collaboration, trust, and open communication. Monitor company climate and culture, and timely inform the VP of Finance of any concerns.

Must maintain confidentiality and appropriately handle sensitive information with discretion.

Other duties may be assigned as required.

Qualifications:

5+ years of corporate finance experience. 

B.S. or M.S in accounting and/or business management, CPA preferred.

Proven track record fostering teamwork, promoting cultural awareness, building relationships, and excelling in people skills, with a strong focus on finance and resource management.

Demonstrated experience with QuickBooks, to include financial reporting, transaction management, bank reconciliation, invoicing, payments, and expense tracking.

Ability to develop and implement comprehensive accounting and purchasing policies and procedures to ensure consistency, accuracy, and compliance across all business operations.

Experienced in the preparation of corporate financial statements, budget forecasts, and financial analysis to support strategic decision-making.

Demonstrated experience monitoring and analyzing budget performance, providing detailed reports on variances, and recommending corrective actions to align expenditures with financial goals.

Ability to foster a collaborative work environment by promoting team engagement.

Facilitate clear and effective communication between the Finance Team, management, and other departments to ensure alignment on financial objectives and operational matters.

Ability to coordinate multiple financial tasks and projects simultaneously, prioritizing work efficiently to meet deadlines and maintain high standards of accuracy.
