Position Overview:
Navistar is looking for a National Account Manager that loves to travel to join their team!
The National Account Manager position is responsible for selling the company’s products and services to existing and new Fleet Accounts by developing relationships between Navistar, our Dealer Distribution Network and Fleet customers. This person will need to execute the organization’s sales plan in order to grow businesses and margins by developing and implementing sales strategies and tactics, as well as developing new accounts and/or expanding existing accounts. The position requires the development of local sales plan execution and collaborative dialogue with our Product Team and Dealers.
Responsibilities:
Strong business acumen required to solve complex issues and problems
Using experience and background to identify creative solutions to advance profitable sales
Exercises judgment in selecting best methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results
Interprets internal or external business issues and recommends solutions/best practices
Ability to execute highly complex and specialized projects and will need to adapt to precedent and may make significant departures from traditional approaches to develop solutions
Is recognized as a market expert in own area within own discipline/function within the organization. Strong communicator, clear, persuasive and attentive listener
Serves as a resource for best practices/quality on functional teams or projects
Works independently, with guidance in only the most complex situations
Lead, train and develop (Dealer) outside sales teams to grow business with existing and new accounts
Determines methods and procedures on new assignments and may coordinate activities of additional personnel, lead functional teams or projects, and serve as a best practice/quality resource
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree
At least 8 years of sales experience
At least 1 year of lead experience
OR
Master’s degree
At least 6 years of sales experience
At least 1 year of lead experience
OR
At least 10 years of sales experience
At least 1 year of lead experience
Additional Requirements:
Qualified candidates, excluding current Navistar employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States. Working knowledge of automotive, truck or bus components and a track record of sales accomplishment
Strong work ethic, negotiating skills, decision making and problem solving to ensure the highest degree of brand consistency and customer satisfaction in the Canadian market
Has wide-ranging experience, passion to win, with an emphasis on sales growth, client relationship building and individual marketing efforts
Develop overall conquest and retention strategies and execute action plans to grow Navistar’s market share
Stay up to date with product knowledge, market risks, opportunities and competitive landscape improving sales and profitability
Benefits and Compensation:
Navistar provides a competitive total rewards package commensurate with applicable skills, knowledge, and experience and consistent with internal and external market practices. The annual salary range for this role is $99K - 125K a year.
