Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Women's Services team, covering Antepartum, Labor and Delivery, Postpartum/Couplet care. This role is vital in ensuring the well-being of mothers and their newborns, guiding them through the labor and delivery process and providing care in a family-centered environment.
Essential Functions of the Role:
Patient Care: Conduct detailed clinical assessments, prioritize patient and family needs, and create, implement, and evaluate care plans to achieve desired outcomes.
Labor & Delivery: Assist new mothers through labor and delivery in suites designed to keep families together during the birthing process.
Couplet Care: Care for mothers and newborns together in a family-centered unit, promoting education and confidence for new mothers.
Clinical Expertise: Build relationships, manage discomfort, and stay professional in therapeutic connections with patients and families.
Education & Support: Educate patients, families, and colleagues, assess learning needs, and empower through knowledge for better healthcare choices.
Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues and the community to create comprehensive care plans, delegate tasks, and ensure timely follow-up.
Safety & Efficiency: Recognize limitations, prioritize safety, and maintain effectiveness and efficiency in patient care.

Clinical Knowledge: Deep understanding of nursing standards, procedures, and hospital guidelines.
Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to express thoughts clearly.

Ethical Practice: Respect for medical and professional ethics, and patient privacy rights.

Qualifications:
Education: Graduate of an Accredited Nursing Program.
Experience: Specialized field of study should be nursing.
Licensure: A current and valid nursing license.
Certification: Must have BLS certification or obtain it within 30 days of starting in this role.
