Job Description
The Finance Manager, Planning Systems oversees the financial planning and analysis processes and requirements across businesses supported. Provides financial guidance in compliance with financial policies, prepares analysis and provides business decision support and leads key projects and initiatives to improve financial processes. The Finance Manager interacts with all levels of finance and business management.
Responsibilities
Support finance planning teams to facilitate continuous improvement efforts towards the planning, forecasting and long-range plan.
Participate in ongoing development projects with requirements gathering, technical design, development, reconciliation, system testing, User acceptance testing, and cutover to Production.
Requires strong understanding of the financial planning and consolidation process as well as requirements for management reporting.
Continuously and proactively improve the environment to enrich experience by contributing to training documentation and support for end users.
Develop, maintain, and improve documentation on key business processes and procedures in compliance with Internal control policies.
Support automation of processes with current and future application flows. Send downstream system monthly corporate adjustment files for tie to final monthly, quarterly consolidation.
Support of SAP BPC planning, including sourcing actuals, reconciling and data analytics.
Test technical patches, upgrades, and system/application migrations.
Support financial planning activities including understanding of Employee FTE and Contractor reporting and R&D processes to track Internal and External projects as well as IP Allocation processes.
Ability to understand the needs of the various business teams to appropriately plan for growth and change.
Excellent problem-solving skills, including innovative and creative solutions.
Ability to work independently and be goal oriented, as well as work as part of a team.
