Responsibilities:
Maintain payroll data by collecting, calculating, and entering information.
Manage complex scheduling and payroll processes, including gathering necessary information, performing calculations, data entry into payroll systems, and routing for supervisor approval.
Prepare detailed reports summarizing earnings, taxes, deductions, leave, disability, and non-taxable wages.
Determine payroll liabilities by calculating employee federal and state income taxes, social security, and employer contributions for unemployment and workers' compensation.
Resolve payroll discrepancies by collecting and analyzing data
Provide payroll information by answering questions and addressing requests from employees.
Ensure payroll operations adhere to policies and procedures; report any needed changes.
Maintain employee confidence by protecting payroll information and ensuring confidentiality.
Contribute to team goals by achieving related results as needed.
Qualifications:
Strong analytical skills.
Proficiency in data entry.
High attention to detail and confidentiality.
Strong math skills with experience in financial software and reporting.
Effective verbal communication and organizational skills.
Experience with ADP and Microsoft Excel.
Excellent telephone etiquette.
Minimum of 3 years’ payroll experience preferred.
Associate’s degree preferred.
