Overview:

We Fairview Health Services are looking for a motivated Primary Care Service Line Clinic Manager to join the hard working team at our Prior Lake location! This position is approved for 80 hours every two weeks, is benefit eligible. Responsibilities/Job Description:

The Primary Care Clinic Manager plans, runs, coordinates and evaluates activities of assigned area including resource management, quality, regulatory compliance, education opportunities, and financial management. They work in partnership with Directors to implement and sustain strategic priorities of the service line.

The Clinic Manger is responsible for the day-to-day operations to ensure support of the mission, goals, and objectives of Fairview Health Services.

Serves as a role model for staff.

Handles change using a planned, orderly approach.

Demonstrates ability to implement problem-solving mechanisms in both routine and emergency situations.

Responsible for human resources management to achieve quality service and positive employee relations.

Implements and communicates Human Resources policies and procedures in a fair and consistent manner

Selects top talent to matching organizational needs by selecting qualified employees for employment

Conducts timely employee performance appraisals.

Uses corrective action in accordance with applicable policy to mitigate workplace problems

Ensures completion of training for employees, including orientation, in-services and proficiency validations as required by regulatory agencies, department and service line standards

Plans and approves unit staff schedules including use of OT and PTO approvals

Responsible for effective fiscal management to ensure accurate utilization of financial resources.

Maintains appropriate staffing levels as evidenced by budgetary analysis and/or unit indicators.

Investigates and suggests alternatives to the established budget based on efficient use of resources. Pursues cost savings and methods for revenue generation within area and recommends savings for other areas.

Maintains an appropriate inventory of budgeted supplies and equipment that meets the demands of location

Educates patient care team members on financial implications of patient care decisions.

Implement, guide, and sustain quality and continuous improvement within service line.

Establish a site based approach to continuous improvement that links with service line strategy.

Ensures that a process for collecting, and supervise quality for the clinic continually set goals from the team of improvement. Guide and mentor using tools such as the Daily Engagement System to achieve this.

Communicates quality data and seeks out opportunities to improve patient care

Develops and maintains a balanced, encouraging work environment, demonstrating behaviors consistent with MHealth Fairview commitments

Exemplifies excellent customer relations in interactions with patients, visitors, physicians, and employees.

Continuously builds customer understanding by listening to customers.

Continuously implements strategies to improve customer happiness

Provides a welcoming and encouraging environment.

Continuously takes action to improve employee engagement.

Qualifications:

Required

Bachelor’s Degree in healthcare or related field

3 or more years of leadership experience

Preferred

Advanced Degree in health care or a related field

Supervisory/Management experience
