Responsibilities:
SHIFT HOURS: 8pm to 8am rotating schedule - ex: work 3 days have 4 days off, then work 4 days have 3 days off, working every other weekend.
JOB SUMMARY: Stages the productions floors and moves products to locations within the plant or warehouse as necessary. This position reports to the Warehouse & Distribution Manager.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Adheres to all company policies, procedures, and all safety guidelines
Follow all departmental SOPs
Daily inspection and care of equipment
Locate material into inventory per MEP
Cycle count and pull material from inventory for work orders
Load/Unload/Relocate material as needed per Inventory/Production/Shipping/Quality Control requirements
Operate dock equipment, correct or report any identified issues
Accurate and legible completion of all required paperwork
Communicates, interacts, and provides support to all other departments
Comply with receiving of any material (raw materials, packaging materials, office supplies, production supplies, maintenance supplies and others
Verify, identify, and inspect a variety of incoming materials, supplies, and finished goods from operations
Data entry of various inventory transactions using barcode scanner and/or computer system
Understands shipping/loading requirements, weight requirements, customers' special instructions
Trouble shoot any material problems including inventory, discrepancies, freight damage, contamination, packaging, or handling issues
Understands the correlation between production and warehouse finished goods, fixing any issues with pounds and scanning orders
Quality control of pallets, cores, cradles, boxes, and other packaging materials received by shipping - to eliminate damage product received
Able to work overtime as needed, which may include evenings, weekends, and holidays
Other duties and/or projects as may be assigned
Qualifications:
QUALIFICATIONS:
Valid lift truck license or ability to attain certification
Good mathematical skills
Able to follow instructions and work with minimal supervision
Able to comprehend English language (written and verbal)
Team oriented
Good work and attendance record
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Able to lift up to 50 pounds to waist level, continuously
Able to handle and pull full totes with for truck
Able to stand, walk, bend, or stoop during entire shift
Able to handle organic matter daily, able to wear PPE as appropriate (eye, face, hand, arm, head, foot, body, fall protection)
Able to handle potentially extreme conditions of heat, cold, wet, humid, and windy conditions while wearing PPE (95 degree or greater)
