About the Role:

Step into a pivotal role with a globally renowned CPG manufacturer operating 67 facilities worldwide.

We're searching for a Regional Director of Maintenance to quickly grow to a VP role in the next few years

This person will lead our maintenance strategy at our largest North American facility located in suburbs of Chicago.

Be responsible for all facilities, maintenance and assets for North America

This position, created due to our growth and promotion from within, offers a chance to significantly impact our operations while fostering professional and personal development in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Role Overview:

As the North American Director of Maintenance, you will oversee maintenance operations across 12 facilities, directing a team of 10 direct reports.

Primary focus will be on asset care, total productive maintenance (TPM), risk management, and ensuring reliability.

Develop multi-year improvement plans for each site, implement the Asset Care Strategy, and standardize maintenance procedures across all locations.

Key Responsibilities:

· Develop and coach the Maintenance, and Reliability teams, promoting a culture of continuous improvement and TPM across all facilities.

Oversee and implement network-wide reliability maintenance systems, establishing and monitoring SOPs, metrics, and KPIs.

Conduct thorough reviews of critical asset performance, addressing risks and enhancing operational efficiency and standards.

Facilitate consolidated plant maintenance reviews, and lead division-wide collaboration meetings to track KPI performance.

Coordinate and manage multiple reliability improvement projects across the division.

Maintain compliance with environmental regulations specific to the food industry, ensuring safety and operational standards are met.

Requirements

What You’ll Bring:

BS Degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Electrical Engineering is required. Advanced degrees like an MBA, Masters, or Lean/Six-sigma certifications are highly preferred.

8 - 15 years of leadership experience in maintenance, reliability management, and asset care, particularly in a director-level role is required.

Experience with automation in process and packaging equipment is crucial.

Demonstrated excellence in packaging, processing, project management, and LSS/TPM within food processing, chemical mixing, CPG, or high-speed packaging environments.

Proven track record in coaching, developing, and retaining high-performing maintenance and reliability teams.

Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to negotiate effectively with vendors, contractors, and consultants.

Ability to make sound decisions autonomously.

Proficiency in tools such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint, MS Project, CAD, and SAP.
