Responsibilities:
Participate in formal reviews of business and functional requirements, as well as application design
Prepare comprehensive test plans, establishing testing entrance and exit criteria
Design, document, and execute both manual and automated test cases and scripts
Analyze and report test results, troubleshooting and resolving issues as they arise
Track and log defects, providing clear insights on overall test status
Collaborate with teams to define testing requirements and ensure thorough coverage
Contribute to knowledge transfer within the team
Perform additional testing tasks as needed to support project success
Qualifications:
5+ years of experience in Quality Assurance, with a strong foundation in creating and executing manual test cases from scratch
Familiarity with software development methodologies, including Agile and Scrum
Experience testing web-based applications and databases, including web services
Proven experience in large, complex implementations involving 3rd-party vendors
Essential skills:
Strong expertise in test planning, execution of both positive and negative test cases, and issue troubleshooting
Hands-on experience with SQL and multiple programming languages
Proficiency with DevOps tools like Jira to support software development and deployment
Familiarity with security, accessibility, performance, and stress testing best practices
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present technical details to non-technical stakeholders
Desired skills:
Experience with diverse software development technologies and database platforms
Proven ability to work effectively in collaborative team environments, providing technical leadership when needed
