About this Role:
As the Food Safety and Quality Assurance Manager, you will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of food safety, quality, and compliance across the production facility. This leadership role requires developing and managing food safety programs, overseeing quality control, and ensuring compliance with industry regulations. You will play a key role in driving continuous improvement initiatives to optimize processes and maintain the companys commitment to delivering safe, high-quality products.
Responsibilities:
Develop, implement, and manage food safety and quality programs in line with regulatory and SQF standards.
Oversee the quality control process to ensure all products meet safety and quality expectations.
Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, updating policies as needed.
Lead continuous improvement efforts to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and maintain product standards.
Train and develop employees on food safety and quality assurance procedures, fostering a strong culture of compliance.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Food Science, Microbiology, or a related field.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in food safety and quality assurance management.
In-depth knowledge of HACCP, SQF, and food safety regulations.
Strong leadership, communication, and team management skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in food manufacturing and familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
SQF Practitioner certification or similar food safety certifications.
Demonstrated ability to lead continuous improvement and quality initiatives.
Knowledge of regulatory audits and interfacing with regulatory bodies.
Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on safety and efficiency.
