Overview:

Colliers Engineering & Design is seeking a System Administrator to join our team! This System Administrator will be responsible for the overall health of the Company’s computer systems. Maintain, monitor, improve and secure the Company’s overall corporate IT infrastructure.

Responsibilities:

Perform server administration tasks, including user/group administration, security permissions, group policies, print services, research event log warnings and errors, and resource monitoring, ensuring system architecture components work together seamlessly.

Manage and maintain the SCCM infrastructure, including installation, configuration, and upgrades.

Monitor datacenter health using preexisting management tools and respond to hardware issues as they arise; help build, test, and maintain new servers as needed.

Maintain internal infrastructure requirements including laptop and desktop computers, servers, printers, phones, security updates.

Interact with the help desk and other teams to assist in troubleshooting, identify root cause, and provide technical support when needed.

Analyze system architecture and usage to ensure capacity and performance to meet business needs.

Perform routine/scheduled audits of the systems, including all backups.

Optimize processes and lead process improvement.

Test and research new products and technologies and submit results to IT Infrastructure Manager.

Develop and document configuration guidelines. Develop and test requirements for new hardware and software.

Implement and document fail-over configuration and disaster recovery plan for critical enterprise network and server assets.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or related field preferred.

3+ years of system administration experience or a combination of education/experience with the requirements of the position.

Extensive experience in system administration, particularly in a Windows environment

Proficient use in SCCM and Intune.

Experience with endpoint protection solutions and security best practices.

Strong knowledge of Active Directory, DNS, DFS, IIS, DHCP and Group Policy Management.

Ability to read, write and understand English for purposes of comprehending written job-related communications and verbal instructions and interactions.
