We are excited to be recruiting a dynamic Sales Support Manager for an FMCG company who distributes, markets & sells iconic brands!

Sales Support Manager (full-time)

Salary - circa £36,000pa (depending on experience)

This is an initial 12-month FTC

Working hours - Monday to Friday, 09.00am to 5.30pm, with the requirement to travel a few times per month (to include over-night stays)

Location - Based in High Wycombe (Free parking) plus some travel involved

An important role, over-seeing a team of 6 field-based customer facing Account Managers as their main point of contact, motivating and directing them to achieve business objectives. Providing them with Admin support and helping with any other tasks that arise. You'll be looking after a team of well-established professionals who have been with the company long-term, so this is a really nice role for someone who enjoys getting the best out of people and helping them to achieve their goals.

Reporting directly to the Area Controller, you will have full control of the Customer Development team, who each look after their own designated customer territory. Your role will include daily catch up's /check in's, assisting with diary management and helping with any customer related issues too, so this will be a busy and varied role!

Key Responsibilities:

Over-seeing the 6 field-based Customer Account Managers
Directing and motivating the field-based sales team to high performance levels, in line with company targets and objectives
Daily check-in's with Customer Account Managers and agreeing their weekly diary / planned customer visits etc
Helping with route planning and diary management, where needed
Helping out with stock ordering for customer visits
Handling any customer queries that may come in and need resolution
Periodic visits to customers alongside the Customer Account Managers
Trade show attendance and support as and when required
Administrative support at all Head Office meetings
Occasional administrative support to the Sales and Marketing team

What you'll bring:

Full, clean UK Driving License
Able to get to High Wycombe easily each day
Happy to travel approximately 3 times per month (all fully paid for)
Ideally 2 years' plus experience of managing people in either a Customer Service, Sales Support or Sales / Account Management role
A great customer service approach, with the drive to go that extra mile
Commercially aware, with the ability to spot opportunities / respond accordingly
Strong organisational and presentation skills
Excellent attention to detail
Ability to communicate at all levels and cross functionally
An excellent team player, also capable of working independently
