We are seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a small, specialist SEMH school in King’s Lynn, working 5 days per week. You will be supporting 11-16-year-olds with social, emotional, and mental health challenges, helping them with their learning and development. This role requires a calm, resilient, and positive individual who can make a real difference.
Responsibilities:
* Support students in their academic and personal development
* Assist the class teacher with lesson preparation and classroom management
* Provide one-on-one and group support to students
* Help students regulate their emotions and behaviours in a calm, supportive manner
* Foster a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment
* Support students during off-site activities and school trips
Requirements:
* Previous experience working in a school or educational setting
* Experience with SEMH students is highly desirable
* Friendly, outgoing, and patient personality
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
* Ability to remain calm under pressure and manage challenging behaviours
