Internal Service Engineer

A global leader in analytical laboratory instrumentation and services are currently seeking an Internal Service Engineer based in their workshop in Luton. The chosen individual will be accountable for the upkeep, calibration, and restoration of exceptionally advanced instruments dispatched to their UK workshop.

The chosen candidate will be responsible for delivering exceptional service to customers across various pivotal product categories. This opportunity is perfectly suited for an engineer with experience in working with technological/analytical equipment, who aspires to become part of a growing company dedicated to delivering a quality service.

Role Responsibilities

• Conducting preventative maintenance, calibration, and repairs

• Delivering high-quality technical assistance to customers through phone and email channels

• Ensuring precise cost estimates are provided to customers for completed work and managing received purchase orders

• Maintaining comprehensive service records and furnishing accurate documentation to customers for all performed tasks

• Taking charge of In-House support tickets to meet service Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

• Performing maintenance, functional checks, and repairs on demonstration and loan instruments

• Effectively managing spare parts inventory, adhering to proper procedures, and ensuring accurate reporting

• Upholding workshop standards in compliance with Health and Safety regulations and maintaining a clean work environment

• Collaborating closely with other departments to ensure seamless operations and uphold the high service standards expected by customers.

Key Candidate Requirements

• Possession of an NVQ Level 3 or its electronic and electrical engineering equivalent

• Some prior experience with the maintenance of intricate and delicate equipment is advantageous

• Exceptional focus on precision and attention to detail

• Inherent self-motivation and a strong desire for achievement

• Proficiency in the English language
