We are currently seeking a dedicated SEN/SEMH Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant and inclusive school community in Luton within the education and training secotr. As part of our dynamic team, you will play a vital role in providing tailored support to students with a variety of needs, helping them overcome challenges and reach their full potential.
What you'll be doing as an SEN/SEMH Teaching Assistant in Luton:
Working 1:1 or with small groups of students with a range of SEN, including ASD, ADHD, and learning difficulties.
Assisting the classroom teacher in creating an inclusive learning environment.
Supporting children's emotional and social development, using positive reinforcement.
Collaborating with teachers and parents to implement individualized education plans (IEPs).
Helping students build confidence, independence, and skills that go beyond the classroom.
Our desired SEN/SEMH Teaching Assistant:
A passion for working with children with SEN.
Previous experience in a similar role is desirable, but not essential. Full training will be provided.
A calm, patient, and empathetic nature.
A commitment to celebrating the unique strengths and achievements of each child.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.
A relevant qualification (such as Level 2 or 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning) would be advantageous but is not required.
