Exciting New Opportunity for a highly organised Accounts Administrator to join a privately owned packaging company in Renfrewshire

Accounts Assistant Role and Responsibilities
The specific responsibilities of an Accounts Assistant can vary depending on factors such as the industry and the size of the company. In smaller organizations, they may handle a broader range of accounting duties, while in larger firms, their role may be more specialized, focusing on areas like payroll or credit control. However, typical day-to-day tasks generally include:

Handling administrative duties like managing correspondence, filing, and printing
Scheduling client meetings and managing key departmental deadlines
Maintaining accurate and detailed customer records, as well as setting up new customer accounts
Establishing strong relationships with clients and providing the accounting team with relevant information
Performing daily and monthly bank reconciliations
Processing monthly direct debits and payments
Preparing and entering journal entries into the system
Assisting in the preparation of management accounts and month-end reporting

Exceptional organisational and time-management skills to ensure efficient office operations
Proficiency in basic accounting and bookkeeping tasks
Strong computer skills, with familiarity in accounting software and relevant applications like spreadsheets
A solid grasp of financial systems and processes
Strong analytical abilities to assess financial data and offer informed recommendations
Teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate and provide support when needed

4 Days per week - Hybrid
£25K-£30K depending on experience
Minimum 2 years experience essential
