The role

We are currently seeking a dedicated Cover Supervisor to join our team on a supply basis, working within one of our SEN schools based in Grimsby.

Support the education of Key Stage 3 (KS3) and Key Stage 4 (KS4) learners with a range of SEN, including but not limited to ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and other complex requirements.
Effectively lead and manage the classroom, ensuring a positive learning environment.
Implement pre-planned lessons and maintain continuity in the absence of the regular teacher.
Demonstrate excellent classroom behaviour management skills
Collaborate with Teaching Assistants (TAs) to provide additional support to students.
This schools aim is to work with our pupils to identify their needs and provide the best possible opportunities for all our pupils to develop and thrive in a climate of support, guidance, and authentic care.
This school specialises in offering support to primary and secondary aged pupils with social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) difficulties. The school has an holistic approach to work together with the young person and their family to find ways of engaging them back into a learning environment which specifically meets their needs.

Requirements
To be considered for the position of Cover Supervisor, you will:

Ability to build strong relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues.
A passion for the progress of SEND secondary school pupils.
Be flexible and adaptable to work in different classrooms or with different students as required. Demonstrate the ability to adjust teaching approaches and strategies to meet individual student needs.
Hold, or be prepared to undergo an Enhanced DBS, registered to the Update Service
