Overview:
Candidate will serve as an Operations Surveillance Analyst supporting a specific Groton Operations discipline(s) (Pipe, Steel, Machinist, Paint, etc.). This position will help coordinate/facilitate surveillances (targeted in-process observations to determine process health and function) for the assigned discipline’s Groton management team as well as help assess/evaluate the discipline’s level status of the Quality Roadmap. This position will provide project management, problem resolution, and facilitation experience for the assigned discipline. This position will be required to spend 15-35% of their time on the deck plate supporting Managers and General Foreman (as needed).
Responsibilities will include: scheduling surveillances, maintaining records of surveillances, data mining various EB databases, working with management to create surveillance topics and focus areas, compiling end of month assessments and mentoring/coaching management in conducting surveillances. Candidate will support various projects within assigned disciplines including but not limited to actions generated from surveillances. Candidate will generate commitments and support trades in completing commitments.
Qualifications:
Required:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Minimum (3) years working in a Quality, Operations, or Business Support function
1+ years of experience project coordination
Preferred:
Bachelor’s Degree
Experience analyzing, tracking and trending quality data
Ability to work independently and support newly developing programs
Experience performing in-process quality audits/surveillances and/or other forms of procedural compliance
Experience interfacing with all levels of management
Skills:

Strong written/verbal communication skills are required
High attention to detail and ability to demonstrate previous experience in performing at a high quality level
Strong organizational skills
Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
