Its apartment portfolio of over 90,000 units is concentrated on the East Coast, while its debt investment platform invests nationally.
Summary: As a member of Acquisitions and Capital Markets group, the Acquisitions and Capital Markets Senior Analyst will dedicate 50% of their time to equity investments and 50% to debt investments. The position requires proficiency in investment valuation and Excel, which will be measured via an employer provided assessment.
This position is based out of our brand new corporate office in Conshohocken, PA with an in-office schedule of Monday-Thursday and the option to work from home on Friday.
Responsibilities include:
Underwrite new multifamily acquisition opportunities
Underwrite pools of Freddie Mac loans in K-series securitizations
Develop robust financial models and perform ad hoc financial forecasting, analysis and modeling
Interact with investment brokers, visit target properties, and conduct market analyses
Manage due diligence activities and develop asset-level business plans
Facilitate lender underwriting, obtain financing quotes, and evaluate financing alternatives
Prepare investment materials for Investment Committee, executive management team, and outside investors
Participate in strategic planning and budget processes
Other duties as assigned.
The position requires occasional travel for property tours.
Qualifications:
A bachelor’s degree in business or finance
Advanced Excel skills with a strong background in financial modeling and valuation analysis
Attention to detail with strong organizational skills
Eagerness and ability to learn in a fast-paced environment
Minimum 1-2 years of relevant experience
Passing CFA level 1 exam is encouraged; Morgan Properties will reimburse the cost of obtaining CFA designation.
Passing Morgan Properties proprietary Excel test is required.
