Hourly rate: £13.32 p/h
Location: Reddings Lane, Tyseley, Birmingham, B11 3EY
Contract Type: 6 month FTC, Term Time only
Weekly Hours: 32.5

Our client, Mellors, is seeking a talented individual to join their team as a School Cook Manager on a 6 month fixed term contract. You will play a vital role in providing nutritious and delicious meals to students, empowering them to thrive academically and lead healthy lifestyles. If you have a flair for cooking, excellent management skills, and a commitment to food hygiene, this could be the perfect role for you!

As the School Cook Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the school kitchen and ensuring the delivery of nutritious meals to students and staff. You will play a pivotal role in creating a positive dining experience and promoting healthy eating habits among the school community.

The Key Requirements:

Strong experience in cooking and knowledge of food preparation techniques
A thorough understanding of food hygiene and safety regulations, with a valid food hygiene certificate
Excellent communication skills, enabling effective collaboration with various stakeholders
The ability to work well under pressure and deliver excellent results in a fast-paced environment
Relevant qualifications in catering, management, or food safety will be an advantage
Maintain positive relationships with suppliers and ensure the timely delivery of ingredients
Contribute to the continuous improvement of the catering service, seeking feedback from stakeholders
Flexibility and adaptability to meet changing demands and handle unexpected situations
