Payment Processor** (Contract)

Duration: 6 Months (Possibility for extension)

Location: Birmingham/Hybrid (2 days per week on site)

Rate: A highly competitive PAYE rate is available for suitable candidates

Role Profile

Our client, a leading banking institution, is seeking a skilled Payment Processor to join their team on a fixed-term contract basis. As a Payment Processor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring efficient processing of customer payments while delivering exceptional service that surpasses customer expectations.

Responsibilities:

Process customer payments in accordance with prescribed procedures and rules established by our client.
Prioritise and organise allocated work on a daily basis in coordination with your team.
Gain a comprehensive understanding of procedures and adhere to defined parameters to consistently produce high-quality output.
Proactively resolve customer queries, escalating to team leaders, managers, or other relevant groups as required. Maintain accurate logs of interactions, when necessary.
Collaborate with internal and external customers and clients within the the bank, fostering effective communication and maintaining professional relationships.
Demonstrate confidence in processing customer payment transactions and instructions, ensuring utmost accuracy in all tasks.
Work effectively as a member of a team, while also being flexible and committed to undertaking various tasks at a similar level.
Display excellent communication skills both orally and in writing, enabling effective interaction with colleagues, clients, and customers.
Adapt to changes in business needs and embrace new ideas and processes positively.
Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement them effectively.

Skills:

Strong oral and written communication skills, enabling effective interaction with diverse stakeholders.
A positive attitude towards providing exceptional customer service, always striving to exceed customer expectations.
Adaptability and willingness to embrace change and new ideas.
A genuine passion for understanding the customers' perspective, displaying empathy, and dedicatedly resolving their queries.
