Empowering Learning is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to work full-time in a primary school based in Greenwich, South-East London. This role involves providing vital support to students with ASD and challenging behaviour.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and those exhibiting challenging behaviour.
Assist teachers in delivering individualised learning plans, helping students to engage and succeed in their learning.
Support students in managing their behaviour and emotions, ensuring a safe and positive classroom environment.
Work closely with teachers and support staff to develop strategies that promote inclusion and personal development for students with additional needs.Requirements:
Prior experience supporting children with ASD and/or challenging behaviour is highly desirable.
A patient, calm, and resilient approach to managing behavioural challenges.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students and colleagues.
