A world leading manufacturing company are looking to recruit a Continuous Improvement Manager based at their site in Essex. You will be working for a business who are the leading and go to engineering partner for all of today's innovation leaders within the power industry. The Continuous Improvement Manager will design and implement CI projects and programs to improve products, services and processes. If you have extensive experience of Lean and Continuous Improvement tools and techniques gained in a production or industrial environment, then this could be the career move you have been waiting for.

Duties:

Lead the design and implementation of CI plans and drive site efforts to achieve the highest standards possible
Work with the site management regarding the resources needed to implement and support CI plans
Lead and supervise the application of CI and lean tools
Produce monthly metrics and hold monthly reviews with management to review and adjust plans as required
Prepare and coordinate 6 Sigma and Lean projects.
Support and advise Lean Practitioner and Apprentices/Kaizen Facilitators
Identify training needs for employees on problem-solving techniques and continuous improvement tools and organize training measures and Kaizen events
Management of "cost saving" projects.
Collaborate on internal audits.

Skills and Experience:

The ideal candidate will have an excellent knowledge of Lean & Continuous improvement tools and techniques gained at Lean leader level or similar
Six sigma green belt or higher preferable
Extensive experience of working in a production or industrial environment is essential
Previous hands-on experience of value stream mapping and implementation is a must
Must have experience on driving kaizen events with proven results in EH&S, 5S & Visual Management, standard Work, SMED and TPM.
The ability to think strategically and deliver results is a must.
Strong project management skills essential
Must be analytically minded and data driven.

Benefits:

Hours 7.30am to 4.35pm - Monday to Thursday, finish at 1.10pm on Friday
25 days hols + bank holidays
