An Ofsted rated good primary school in Northampton has an exciting opportunity for a SEN Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a pupil who has behaviour difficutlies and has suffered trauma. This role will involve pastoral care, to help the pupil manange their emotions by provding a safe and naturing environment.
You will need to be resilient in de-escalating challenging behaviour, managing triggers and building rapport.
There will also be times where you may be required to support within the school's SEN provision which caters for children with Autism.
As the successful SEN TA, you will benefit from;
