I am recruiting for a Financial Controller to join a rapidly growing business.
The role currently comes with no team management responsibilities (although this is expected to change as the business grows). You will however have responsibility for all functions of this finance role)
The role is offered with a salary of £50 - £55K and would suit someone, possibly a couple of jobs in, who is looking to join a business that lets them utilize the skills and experience they have gained up to now. This is very much a “hands on” role.
Please note that due to the nature of the company and the role, it will be 100% site based.
Responsibilities
* Overall Responsibility for control of Accounts Dept
* Bank reconciliation
* Management of weekly payment runs
* Weekly cash flow forecast
* Monthly management accounts
* Accruals and prepayments
* Inter-company accounts
* Maintenance of fixed asset register and depreciation calculations
* Preparation of monthly payroll (working with outsourced payroll company)
* Maintenance of the Nominal Ledger, including reconciliations
* Occasional cover of purchase ledger duties including monthly payment run
* Work with all areas of business
* Work with sales on price lists
* Quarterly VAT
* Production of year end accounts and year end file
* Monthly Debtors reconciliation
* Control account reconciliations
* Budgeting and forecasting
KEY SKILLS/IT SKILLS·
* Extensive management accounts experience
* Ability to work with all departments across the business
* Variance Analysis skills
* Ability to plan ahead, prioritise and meet deadlines
* Effective written and communication skills
* Ability to make decisions and use judgement
* Payroll
* Strong excel skills
* Good ERP skills
* Qualified Accountant, CIMA, ACCA, AAT or QBE
