Job Title: Finance Controller

Location: Washington (Hybrid)

Salary: Up to £45,255.48, depending on experience.

Job Description:

As the Finance Controller, you will be a key member of the Finance team, directly supporting the Finance Manager. Your responsibilities will include:

* Preparing monthly management accounts and detailed sales analysis.

* Conducting variance analysis and preparing actual vs. budget overhead reports.

* Managing balance sheet reconciliations and liaising with external and internal auditors.

* Controlling and analysing Capex project spend and vendor tooling expenses.

* Supporting VAT return preparation, Making Tax Digital, and assisting with tax pack preparation for outsourced providers.

* Preparing statutory accounts and disclosure notes.

* Overseeing payroll and ad hoc bank payments.

* Acting as the finance point of contact for HMRC Imports & Exports documentation.

The Finance Controller role requires a proactive and detail-oriented professional capable of managing multiple tasks efficiently while supporting other team members within the department.

Skills & Experience:

* Relevant accountancy qualification.

* Proven finance experience, ideally within the manufacturing or automotive sectors.

* Advanced Excel skills with strong numerical and analytical abilities.

* Excellent attention to detail and the ability to present information clearly.

* Strong people management skills and the ability to prioritize and self-motivate.

* Previous Customs experience is desirable but not essential.
