As we expand, we are looking for an Assistant Mechanical Site Manager to support our mechanical team and ensure the seamless installation and maintenance of our solar and battery storage systems.
Job Summary:
As the Assistant Mechanical Site Manager, you will work closely with the Mechanical Site Manager and other teams to oversee the mechanical aspects of solar and battery storage installations. Your role will focus on ensuring the mechanical components are installed to the highest standards, keeping the project on schedule and within budget. This position provides a fantastic opportunity to further develop your expertise in the mechanical side of renewable energy systems.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist the Mechanical Site Manager in overseeing the installation and maintenance of mechanical systems related to solar and battery storage projects.
* Ensure all mechanical work complies with safety regulations, industry standards, and project specifications.
* Coordinate and supervise mechanical subcontractors, ensuring efficient site operations.
* Support in the procurement and management of mechanical materials and equipment.
* Conduct routine inspections to ensure the quality of mechanical installations, reporting any issues to the Mechanical Site Manager.
* Work closely with the electrical and civil teams to integrate mechanical components into the overall system.
* Provide technical support and solutions to mechanical challenges on-site.
Requirements:
* Degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
* Proven experience in a mechanical role, preferably within the solar or renewable energy sector.
* Strong understanding of mechanical systems, particularly in relation to solar panels and battery storage.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail in mechanical operations.
* Ability to work well in a team and communicate effectively with various stakeholders.
* Commitment to health, safety, and environmental standards in mechanical installations.
