We’re seeking a Transport Manager to join our established management team.
Position Details:

Location: Stamford Bridge, York
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8 am – 5 pm (No weekend or bank holiday work) Role Overview: As the Transport Manager, you’ll lead and coach our transport team to meet and exceed both company and customer expectations. You’ll oversee the transport operations' compliance and efficiency, ensuring everything runs smoothly and legally.
You must hold a CPC (National or International) and will be named on the Operator’s Licence, becoming the principal Operator's Licence holder.
Key Responsibilities:

People Leadership: Recruit, induct, coach, and develop the transport team, fostering growth and success.
Operational Excellence: Ensure the transport function operates in line with service level agreements, supported by the General Manager.
Continuous Improvement: Encourage a culture of innovation, continuously seeking ways to enhance operations.
Cross-functional Collaboration: Build strong relationships across the Operation Centre and broader business to ensure seamless support and performance.
Compliance Management: Ensure fleet vehicles and staff comply with all legal, regulatory, and contractual requirements, including Drivers' Hours and Working Time Directive, with support from the Regional Transport Manager. Qualifications and Skills:

CPC (National or International) and a full UK Driving Licence
Proven people management and leadership experience
Strong customer service focus (both internal and external)
Positive, proactive attitude with the ability to motivate and engage your team
Excellent multitasking skills in a fast-paced environment
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Proficient in computerised transport management systems
Self-motivated with a flexible approach to work
Ability to introduce and develop new working practices within the team What We Offer:
