Pinon Unified School District is seeking a High School Science Teacher who will be responsible for educating and inspiring students in the field of science. Responsibilities

Develop lesson plans and teach high school science classes to students in grades 9-12, providing a meaningful and engaging learning experience for all students

Create a positive learning environment that supports students' social, emotional, and academic growth

Assess student progress and provide timely feedback to students and their families

Incorporate technology and other resources into lesson plans to enhance student learning

Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement school-wide curriculum initiatives and assessments

Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and progress

Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and knowledge.

Requirements

Hold a nArizona Department of Education State teaching Certification in Secondary education

Hold an IVP Clearance card

Strong knowledge of high school-level science content and curriculum standards

Previous experience teaching high school science preferred

Effective communication skills, both oral and written

Strong organizational and time management skills

Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and parents to support student learning

Commitment to ongoing professional learning and growth.
