Lincolnshire (A46 / A15 area).

£22,687 - £29,460 + overtime + shift premium.

Having been established for over a century, my client is a particularly secure company and market-leader in the manufacture of bearing technologies for a variety of industries. Whilst this organisation maintains a family feel, they also have the backing of a global group of companies. They believe the excellent reputation they have continued to maintain in the marketplace has been built on providing their clients with ‘first class’ products and the investment they make in their highly skilled workforce – who are always recognised and rewarded.

Due to further, strategic expansion, an opportunity has now arisen for a CNC Machinist to join them at their facility in Lincolnshire. Does this sound like the type of company that can offer you the secure career prospects you are seeking?

Working as part of the small, friendly team, you will work across five CNC machines, working with tight tolerances to achieve world-class bearing technologies. They key responsibilities of your new role as CNC Machinist are as follows:

* Turning various materials (aluminium, bronze, stainless steel and plastic inserts), including initial and finish machining.

* Milling (mainly drilling and reaming) aluminium and stainless steel balls.

* Using multiple types of CNC equipment, such as Nakamura Tome machine centre, Doosan CNC Lathe, Haas CNC lathe and Hass CNC mill.

* Using inspection equipment such as micrometres, callipers, comparators, form tracer and Keyence vision system.

* Ensuring parts conform to drawings and are processed in the allotted timeframe.

* Ensuring all documentation is accurate.

* Supporting the area in carrying out alternative tasks as required.

* Achieving area targets as identified by Production Management.

My client is keen to find someone who ideally has an NVQ in Engineering Manufacturing or equivalent / an Advanced Modern Apprenticeship, and solid CNC machining expertise; acquired from working in a fast-moving manufacturing environment.

Regardless of previous expertise, you will have the ability to read technical drawings and specifications, be a team player, by nature, and have good verbal and written communication skills.

In return, my client is offering an excellent salary of £22,687 - £29,460, with overtime being readily available for those who want it. You will also benefit from an additional 20% shift premium when working the late shift.

An excellent benefits package is also on offer which includes 25 days holiday per year (plus Bank holidays), subsidised health care, personal accident plan, long service award, bike to work scheme, death in service benefit and a matched pension of 5%.

The role operates on a rotating shift pattern of earlies and lates with the hours of work being as follows:

Morning shift

* Monday – Thursday 6am – 1.35pm.

* Friday 6am – 12.45pm.
