Responsibilities:
In this role, you will be responsible for:
Operating CNC machines to produce turbine products, following work instructions and meeting company standards
Ensuring safe machinery setup and loading material into machines
Understanding engineering drawings and utilising CMM readouts for various operations
Examining machinery production output to verify its acceptability
Performing gauging and CMM measurements of components to ensure conformity
Maintaining and updating records about the machine's operation
Regularly inspecting machines for mechanical and safety issues
Working a flexible schedule to meet production demand during busy periods
Essential Skills:
To be successful in this role, you must have:
Completed a recognised full Level 3 apprenticeship, or an NVQ Level 3 or Technical certificate in a relevant engineering field
Experience in CNC machining
Strong attention to detail
Excellent problem-solving skills
Effective communication skills and the ability to work well both independently and in a team environment
A proactive outlook towards work and a commitment to continuous improvement
Pride in maintaining a clean work area and surroundings
The following skills are desirable, but not essential:
Knowledge of Fanuc, Siemens, Mazatrol, Heidenhain, or Okuma controls
